"Wow! Ladies and gents, my apologies for keeping you waiting. I'm fairly certain most decent folk like ourselves don't understand one word those Lustrian croakers they call commentators are saying, so I'll be your interpreter for all the Obsinite Old Ones Bloodbowl games, if you however do understand Lustrian then be free to press to red button on your TV remote to continue the broadcast in Lustrian (Alt + F4 for all those watching on your computers)
Having now lost a significant number of our audience, let's get on with today's event! In the far away town of Aarschot a tournament was announced a fortnight ago and four great teams have shown up intending to smash and dash their way to a beautiful trophy and some serious price money that will most definitely help in the league to come. So without further ado, these teams seem to be ready to show each other the business end of the pitch (the bloodied grass that is), welcome to Bloodbowl!
For their first match the Obsinite Old Ones have drawn the Universe Team coached by Mr Maarten Peeters starring 5 Linemen: Charon, Phobos, Deimos, Centauri and Titan; 1 thrower and 2 catchers: Callisto, Versta and Halley (isn't that a girls name? ); 3 blitzers: Jupiter (C), Sirius and Orion and Big Bang the Ogre. These fellas have a solid 7000 fans in the stands. 6000 have shown up wearing the red and grey colours of the Obsinite Old Ones, coached by Xilicuncani the Slann... unfortunately all he tends to do is shout 'Go for the gap!' and 'He's left his right leg undefended! Crack the marrow, I want some decent dinner tonight!' about 5 hours before the game, so for all the on field coaching the team turns to Mr Alexander Follens! His team consists of 1 Kroxigor: Boq; 3 Sauri: Boq-Botl (C), Loq-Lot and Chaq-Gar; and 7 Skinks: Xili, Xa, Qu'itt, Huini, Hua, Huan and Ximni.
Looks like the players have finished warming up as all of them are moving from the sidelines onto the grass. The sweltering heat seems to have its effect on the players though as Huan the Skink wobbles a bit... and hits the deck! The team assistants quickly come to collect him and drag him of the field, leaving the Obsinite Old Ones with only 10 players on the pitch! The Obsinite Old Ones, having won the toss, elect to kick and go for a high flyer that ends up near the opponents end zone! And the crowd go wild! The humans try to take out a Saurus, who keeps his feet, and a Skink who dodges out of reach. The Universe Team Thrower, Callisto, picks up the ball and passes it to one of his team-mates. The Obsinite Old Ones shift to counter this move, the defensive line holding strong as Boq the Krox moves towards the ball carrier. The Universe Team respond by taking down a Saurus! But they fail to get past his thick scales, though guys these 8 foot lizards! Oh but what happened there? One of the linemen tried to dodge away from the Krox, but wasn't paying attention to the long prehensile tail the beast wields like a club, clipping his temple and downing the guy, luckily for him though there was no harm done. Trying to seize the initiative, the Krox takes a swing at a lineman near him, but manages to go down himself instead, to great aggravation of his coach shouting from the sidelines! His counterpart seems to get the hang of it though as he picks on a Skink, stunning the poor blighter! Lucky for him, those ham-sized fists can do a lot of damage to the frail stunties. The ball carrier sees another of his team-mates and lines him up carefully, delivering a pin-point accurate pass. His efforts all for nought though as the sun blinds the receiver and he drops it. Though luck, that would have been a touchdown for sure. The Lizards counter-attack and down another soft skin, but Ximni the Skink is tackled as he tries to dodge away from a human. Ow! Was that a crack I heard as he landed? The Obsinite Old Ones medical staff rush onto the field as play goes on... and declare the little guy dead!! Sirius the blitzer runs towards the ball, successfully scoops up the ball and goes for the tryline.. but somehow manages to fall over his own feet a meter short! The dropped ball is then collected by the Obsinite Old Ones and moved away from the danger zone.
The Universe Team reacts and the other blitzer, along with two friends, try to take down a Saurus and fail. Sirius the blitzer gets back up and moves to the ball carrier, trying to block him but succeeding only in pushing him back. Meanwhile Boq the Krox downs the human in front of him as his flanking Saurus stuns another, on the other side a lineman is pushed back by the Saurus controlling that side of the pitch. The Skinks are starting to use evasive manoeuvres, trying to get away from close quarters. One of the linemen blitzes the ball carrier and manages to knock him to the ground. Mr Peeters shouts from the sideline, trying to get Big Bang the Ogre to club the Saurus in front of him, but the brute only manages to drool over his armour, momentarily confused by the mayhem going on around him. One of the Universe Team runners runs towards the ball and picks it up without too much difficulty. One of the Skinks tries to close him down but fails to dodge out of his guard's reach, coming face to face with the grass. The ball carrier moves out of reach as the same blitzer from earlier tries to block the Saurus in front of him again (once again aided by his two palls) but fails once more and goes down himself as he simply bounces of the Saurus' though hide! Boq the Krox lines up the confused Ogre and puts him to the floor with a mighty thud as one of the Skinks blitzes the ball carrier who drops the ball, which is subsequently picked up by another small critter, despite the human trying to prevent just this. The Ogre, still confused fails to get up as Halley tries to block one of the Skinks, who dodges the blow and strikes the comet out of the sky, KOing him with a viscous blow to the back of his head! Concluding the first half of play.
The second half is kicked into gear by the Universe Team and the Krox is apparently still trying to figure out what Coach Follens tried to get him to do this half. Apart from pushing and shoving the start of this half isn't marked by any spectacular events apart from a Skink picking up the ball! The humans have got their bashing caps on though as they stun, knock down and push back the Sauri facing them. Boq the Krox finally gets a gleam in his eyes and throws a block at the player in front of him but only manages to wrestle the guy to the ground, taking a hit himself in the process, neither players are injured though. The Universe Team blitzers get to work though, pushing back a Skink and downing a Saurus. The Saurus finally seem to have warmed up and, tired of getting pushed around, respond by severely injuring one of their opponents, Loq-Lot dealing the hardest blow. Whilst the hustle is going on, the Skinks dodge between the human ranks and start running away from the opponents. Back to the carnage! Big Bang downs a Saurus and two humans get better acquainted with the pitch as the Sauri continue to swing all their limbs around the place, Boq the Krox still hasn't managed to fully grasp the half's tactics though and goes down again, taking his opponent with him without doing any damage. The Universe Team try to get into the protective formation the Lizards have set up, but as one of the linemen tries to beat up Huini the Skink he underestimates his opponent and gets killed for his troubles! The ball-carrier tries to move within the cage, dodging away from a stray human, but falls over comically dropping the ball in the process.. which somehow manages to exit the cage and land near one of the warm-bloods. Making the best of this streak of good fortune the humans pick up the ball and move into an offensive formation, killing a Skink in the process! And it only gets worse for the Obsinite Old Ones as the Skinks start failing their dodges allowing the Universe Team to score the winning and only touchdown of the game.

Welcome back Ladies and Gents (seriously? Ladies watch this game? I’ve got to get me one of those!!) to the Obsinite Old Ones second game of the tournament! With their close loss still firmly in the back of their minds, their cold blood seems to be rearing to go, I’m sure this game will be a real cracker. A Lustrian rivalry just waiting to erupt once again, I’m pleased to present to you the Honeywood Hornets and the Obsinite Old Ones!!
The Amazon team has started warming up and stars none but fine, well I was going to say ladies, but can one really call a woman playing this ferocious game a lady…? I think I’ll settle for the phrase ‘felines’, compliments the grace of these beautiful creatures I’d think. Today we present this gorgeous team, coached by Mr Stijn Aerts, which consists of 7 linewomen: Jessica, Deborah, Jane, Mary, Emma, Laura and Donna; 1 catcher: Scarlet; 1 thrower: Jenny and 4 blitzers: Lola, Alice, Milla and Leeloo. The Obsinite Old One team is nearly unchanged, the dead Ximni having been removed and the Journeyman Chaq taking his place.
The Obsinite Old One fans are once again in the minority on this fine morning, counting a solid 7000 men, women and beasts cheering the scaled ones on to a hopeful victory. The 8000 supporting the Hornets however can’t seem to make their throats match the noise and so the Lizards gain a re-roll as the Obsinite Old Ones kick to the ball into the opponents half.
The Hornets start strong, picking on the weak Skinks and stunning one of him to a welcoming roar from the crowd. One of the felines picks up the ball and hands it over to one of her fellows, or tries to anyway. The receiving Hornet dropped the ball and the Obsinite Old Ones try to take advantage of the mistake. Both Saurus and Kroxigor grab their opponents but only manage to push them backwards as the Skinks gang up on one of the Hornets. Qu’itt the Skink blitzes on the feline surrounded by his colleagues, as he charges the Amazon a splendid thump resonates around the stadium and as the dust cleared the both of them could be seen lying on the ground, unharmed somehow. The Hornets in return push back one of the Skinks and try to pick up the ball but failing to do so. The next attempt proves more successful however and a courageous pass ensures a scoring position with one of the runners near the endzone. Whilst the ball was leaving the center of the field some serious bashing has been going on, the Hornets throw blocks at both a Skink, who gets KO’ed!, and a Saurus who after wrestling his opponent to the ground manages to kill her! The Hornets will have to manage without their catcher from here on. Chasing down the ball carrier in their own backfield, Skinks swarm the Hornet on the loose, but only manage to push her back. She then retaliates by injuring the Skink who attacked her, as she tries to dodge away from the enraged others however things go awry; she hits the deck! And the Skinks make good use of this and go towards the ball, pick it up and start moving upfield. The blitzer who fell over her feet however hasn’t finished with the cold blooded ones however, she’s getting up! And she’s lining up the ball carrier, felines and gentlemen, and she has a dangerous gleam to her eyes as well! Boy I don’t want to be in the shoes of that Skink right now, not for all the money in the world! BOOM! What a hit! The little fella just got blown of his feet, look at him shaking his head, he’ll be fine though in a minute or so. Oh and another linewoman hits the floor as she tried to dodge away in the center, action all over the pitch here. But the Obsinite Old Ones obviously on the back foot. One of the Skinks picks up the dropped ball though and once again sets his mind to offence and skips into the attacking half. The Krox and Saurus are still doing what they do best, though not to their full capacity it seems as all they manage to do is push their opponents back. One of the linewoman seems to have a thing for the journeyman Skink, she blitzes him but he deftly steps back, it seems as though he’s fought of those advances before. Lola the blitzer tries to take on Boq the Krox, even though the odds are stacked against her, and hits the dirt for her troubles having received a solid clout from Boq. One more for the KO bin! Boq seems to have the taste for it and KO’s another Hornet who got too close to him as two of the Saurus finally seem to have warmed up and knock down their opposite numbers. Huini continues to carry the ball upfield and nears the end zone as the half is coming to a close. Despite the Amazons best efforts they can’t stop the little guy and he scores the only touchdown of the half.
The Hornets kick deep into the Obsinite Old Ones’ half to get the second half under way and their fans finally make themselves heard, getting their team the same advantage the Old Ones had last half. The felines adopted a shrewd tactic on the scrimmage line, trying to stay away from Boq the Krox, but that doesn’t deter him, look at him blitzing that linewoman! Hmm, he only pushes her back, I would have liked to have seen some blood there. The other Saurus seem to still have the hang of it though as they push all the opponents blitzers back as one and one loses her feet and falls down over an old femur sticking out of the ground. Xa tries to pick up the ball in the endzone but fails to do so, handing the initiative to the Hornets. The felines close on the Saurus in greater numbers and push two of the Saurus back, but the Lizards have more than one weapon at their disposal, as one of the Amazons finds out, hitting the deck as the Krox uses his tail to sweep her legs from under her. And she felt that one! Doesn’t seem to be getting up either… and the grass seems to be turning my favourite crimson underneath her, I guess she won’t be feeling that in the morning! The Saurus continue with much of the same mentality, severely injuring another Amazon as Xa manages to pick up the ball this time and run halfway up the field. One of the felines sees another easy target in one of the Skinks and promptly blitzes him but only manages to push him back as another linewoman tries to get away from Boq, but she too seems to have forgotten about his tail as she bites the dust. The Krox however seems to have had enough of it for a turn as he sees the hamburger stand near the field and heads for that instead of taking another whack, dumb beasts at time those Krox. The Saurus however continue their slaughter, as they down another 2 Hornets and push back another. One of the felines blitzes Xa and takes him down with her as they both hit the deck, the ball bouncing away from the grappling pair. Other Skinks quickly try to close in one the bouncing leather hide but the swift Amazons get there before them as they snatch it from between two Skinks who were about to pick it up, superb handling skills! The Skinks grapple one of the Hornets to the floor, who manages to severely injure the Skink as the ball carrying Amazon runs towards the end zone. The Krox in the meantime seems to still be thinking about his burger, look at the brute staring at the burger salesman, I think that guy could probably eat the whole shack and seems to be thinking about it! The Saurus continue to push the opposing blitzers around as the Skinks close on the ball carrier and knock her down, forcing their quarry to spill the ball as she goes down. And there we see another outstanding piece of handling skills as a Hornet once again scoops up the ball… but once again she fails to dodge away, and I thought that’s what these Amazons were good at. Must be a really bad day for these felines. Hua the Skink picks up the ball and moves it away from his endzone, keeping it from harm for the time being. The Hornets once again blitz Hua, but he deftly dodges out of their reach as another Amazon fails to dodge away from a Saurus. Having gotten the ball sufficiently far enough from the endzone the scaled ones start dishing out some more pain, or that’s what they intended anyway, they seem only able to push the felines around as they down Huan the Skink just before the horn blows, announcing the end of the game.
