40K Conflict 2014 Scenario's First Draft

Tournament Point chart for winning, drawing or losing an objective:
Primary: 12 - 6 - 0
Secondary: 7 - 4 - 0
Tertiary: 5 - 3 - 0

Slay the Warlord, First Blood and Linebreaker grant 2 Tournament Points each.

Extra Victory Points earned by special rules, like the "Legendary Fighter" Warlord trait (p111), will grant you additional Tournament points.
Note that these extra points do not make it possible for your score to go above 30 Tournament points per battle. Any extra points are discarded.

In case of a board clear you automatically score the maximum amount of 30 Tournament Points.
Your opponent still gets points for Slay the Warlord, First blood and any objectives in case he scored those.

These rules will be used in all 3 scenario's: Night Fighting, Mysterious Objectives, Reserves, Variable Game Length, Slay the Warlord, First Blood and Linebreaker.

Also count the amount of Army Points you destroyed from your opponent at the end of each game.
Full points are awarded if the unit is completely destroyed, currently fleeing or in reserve.
Half the points are awarded if the unit is below half strength, wounds, hull points or is immobilized.
No points are awarded if the unit is at half strength, wounds, hull points or above.

To start a game follow this sheet :
1) Each player goes over their respective army list with their opponent.
2) Discuss the terrain. Mysterious terrain rules will not be used.
3) Roll-off to chose sides. The roll-off winner can choose to pass the choice to his opponent.
4) Place objectives as described in the scenario's while still following the normal rules.
5) Deploy fortifications, starting with the player that chose table halves.
6) Roll for warlord traits. When rolling on the big rule book table each players rolls a D6 and then chooses any of the three warlord traits with that number.
When rolling on a codex specific table you roll as normal.
7) Determine psychic powers.
8) Night fight roll. (If still necessary.)
9 ) Player who chose table halves deploys followed by the other.
10) Deploy infiltrators.
11) Scout moves.
12) Seize the initiative! (Optional.)
13) Start the game and remember to have fun!

Scenario 1: First encounter
[Fluff text?]

Objective counters: Divide the table in 4 equal quarters. Place 5 objective markers, one in the exact middle of each quarter and the last one in the exact centre of the table.

Vanguard Strike deployment.

Primary objective
Purge the Alien: The player who wipes the most enemy units wins this mission.

Secondary objective
Secure the Centre: The player who has more Army Points within 12" of the centre objective at the end of the game wins this mission.

Tertiary objective
Secure the outposts: The player who controls the most objectives wins this mission.

Scenario 2: Drive them of our lands
[Fluff text?]

Dawn of War Deployment.

Objective counters: Both players set up 2 objectives each. First one within 6" of the centre of their deployment zone and then one at least 18" away from their table edge.

Primary objective
Secure the outposts: The player who controls the most objectives wins this mission.

Secondary objective
Strike down their specialist forces: The player who wipes the most enemy units that aren't a troop choice wins this mission.

Tertiary objective
Lead by Example: The warlord that causes the most unsaved wounds wins this mission. Destroyed hull points also count for this mission.

Scenario 3: The Spoils of War
[Fluff text?]

Dawn of War deployment

Objective counters: Both players set up 3 objectives each.

Special rules: Each player chooses either Elite, Heavy Support or Fast Attack.
Note: You can't chose a unit type that isn't in your list, in the rare case you have none of the beforehand mentioned unit types, your HQ will be your choice.
Those type of units can cap points for the primary mission but will be worth double the points for your opponent for the secondary mission.

Primary objective
Secure the outposts: The player who controls the most objectives wins this mission.

Secondary objective
Target Priority: The player who wipes the most enemy units wins this mission. (Certain type of units count double depending on the choices made.)

Tertiary objective
The Relic (p.131 big rulebook.) The player who controls the Relic wins this mission.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Alternatieven voor de puntentelling:
    • "In case of a board clear you do not automatically gain the maximum amount of points.
Instead count up how many points you can maximally score with models still left on the table."
    • "Note that these extra points do make it possible for your score to go above 30 Tournament points per battle."
Eventueel random maken?
  • Alternatief voor Lead by Example: Players may choose their Warlord or unit that costs the most points for this mission.
The warlord or unit that causes the most unsaved wounds wins this mission.

    My base
"You set up a base of operations for the upcoming battle."
Your base counter has 1 of the mysterious objectives rules chosen by the player.
ONLY 1 UNIT CAN CONTROL THE BASE!
[Per player, so it is possible for both the players to gain the benefits from the same base.]
If more than 1 unit is within 3" simply choose 1 unit that is in control of the base at the start of each turn.

Option1: Sabotage enemy's base. "Sabotaged special rules." The base is now worth 0.5 points. (No points?)
    Option2: Ignore any sabotage effects.
    Option3: Gain Skyfire special rule.
Option4: Re-roll failed to hit rolls of 1 when shooting.
Option5: Cover save is 1 point higher than normal.
Option 6: A unit charging the unit in control of this objective halves it's charge range.

You and your opponent choose what the bases are simultaneously
(Cover a die with the number of mysterious objective you want to use, reveal them together.)

full points if the unit is destroyed, or fleeing at the end of the battle
half the points if the unit is below 50% at the end of the battle
units still in reserve at the end of battle count as destroyed
GrandMaster of the Sanguine Angels Blood Angels Succesor Chapter
Archon of the Götterdämmerung Traitor Guard Regiment
ArchMage of the Pointy Ears High Elves army
Coach of the Short Jokes dwarf bloodbowl team
Grand Vizier of mutatawwi'a

Ik ga niet kunnen vrijdag. LAN party dees weekend.
Jakke, dat zijn inderdaad Skyray's, 116 each. Excellent AA vehicle en als we daar niet op moeten wachten ... fire all the missiles! :D

Feedback:

Scenario 1 was dik in orde.
Scenario 3: lijkt me dik in orde. Ik zou voor fixed deployment gaan. Vanguard bv.

Keep it simple zou ik zeggen.
